Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer and activist. Her breakout role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Fearless (1993). Perez's starring roles in films include It Could Happen to You (1994) and The Road to El Dorado(2000), Pineapple Express (2007), as well as Birds of Prey (2018). She also won three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990, 1994 and) and a third Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her performance as The Flight Attendant. She has performed in stage shows on Broadway including The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. She also hosted The View's 18th season on ABC's talk show The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. [11] By 1999 her mother was in poverty, in the Woodside Houses, when she passed away from AIDS-related complications.
