Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her work in House, a Fox medical show, House. Her family was from Wayne and was raised in a strict Jewish tradition. At the age of 18 she moved into New York City to study at the Tisch School of the Arts. The school was very active in the club scene, creating enough fuss that she caught the attention of the media. She eventually used her experience and fame to write and compose a musical titled Positive Me, and she also starred. Then, she was hired by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. Following the end of the series the show, she began appearing on television and film productions, initially in smaller parts, but gradually establishing her acting career.
